I have tested this problem with various kernels from Debian testing, sid
and experimental and sidux. It persists with all 2.6.27 and 2.6.28
kernels. With all 2.6.29 kernels, the machine boots flawlessly without

Debian Lenny freezes during boot on ASUS X56TR laptop with AMD Turion ZM82
processor. I am currently running the AMD64 installation.
The freeze occurs only when both cores are activated. With kernel parameter
