With kernel 2.6.39-2, I can replicate the problems described here (i.e.
hciconfig up reports error Invalid argument (22)).
With kernel 2.6.32-5, this used to work.

I got bitten by this bug as well, similarly to Michael Conner above:
I installed uswsusp to be able to hibernate/resume.
s2disk worked flawlessly, but on booting the system simply did not
bother to resume, booting normally instead.
