Uhm... It appears that using just ":0" instead of "localhost:0" or "localhost" works.
However I didn't find any documentation on that behaviour.
The real reason for trying this out was that I wanted to xmove a
window through a ssh-forwarded display. Still struggling with that,
but you can probably scratch this bugreport, as it's mostly a result
of my confusion...
