Same problem here, running linux-image-2.6.18-3-686 (version 2.6.18-7) on a Dell Optiplex GX620. I'm not attaching the dmesg output, since it's virtually identical with the ones already reported, but I'd like to point out that this seems to have a patch ready upstream. Here's the discussion
