lintian to suggest, e.g. via a pedantic warning, to use the fail flag:
override_dh_missing:
dh_missing --fail-missing

Please check for missing calls to dpkg-maintscript-helper(1) in
maintainer scripts.
They require coordinated actions from several maintainer scripts
and can be easily missed.
