However, whilst I absolutely love the idea of packages using dh_missing,
I'm loathed to add a warning that essential recommends

With the introduction of dh_missing with debhelper 10, I'd like
lintian to suggest, e.g. via a pedantic warning, to use the fail flag:
override_dh_missing:
dh_missing --fail-missing
