is stable, but project dropped on snapshot release.
The version 1 is not compatible (new features were added to version 2).

I have an issue though with fakeroot. Maven requires a repository (under
debian is /usr/share/maven-repo.
I do not have the rights (unless being root) to write in this dir, so it
fails with fakeroot.
