a colleague has caught my attention on the Hacktoberfest:

In Debian-Med, there are a bunch of integration issues (GCC updates,
integration with shared libraries, etc), that are best to be worked out
upstream. Perhaps this Hacktoberfest is a good opportunity to prod our
Upstreams who are on GitHub and see if "the community" can help out ?
Just my two cents; I am a bit over-busy these weeks to take the lead.
