Probably, it's just perl, but you don't have to use dupload, you can
always do it by hand; I did this for years on a Solaris box (and
continue to do it on a Linux box).

Dear Sven and Fernando,
You have both expressed an interest in packaging a more recent version of
OCAML than the one that is presently in Debian.
This is a good idea but you should of course contact the maintainer of the
existing OCAML package, version 1.05-2, before going further! It is

I'm a recently accepted maintainer; a few days ago, while I searched for
something to package, a friend suggested that I have a look at mozilla
(since I'd managed to get it compiled on my own system from CVS).
The more I think of taking it on, the better it sounds, but there's
one snag[1].

Hello,
I'm packaging ocaml, a ml-type language interpreter and compiler,
and everything works ok but I have two questions, I hope quite easy to
answer:
First, to compile ocaml I need to call "make install" (in 'rules' file) in
the following way for it to install binaries where it has to:

You can change the maintainer but that defeats the purpose.

Hello, ...
i am currently packaging mlgtk, the Ocaml bindings for Gtk+.
the mlgtk sources are under the LGPL, so they should go into main, same as all
the gtk stuff.
but ocaml is in non-free (well actually it is just on my harddrive, because i
am still asking autorisation from the autors to make
Hello, ...
i became debian developper recently, and am using a pgp id in the form of my
name, followed by my private email address.
now i actually began to build packages, and i figured it would be best to put
my debian email address in the maintainer field instead of my private one.
so i did

Speaking for myself, I reply to less than 1% of the mail I get.
And it is the nature of email discussions that you are likely to only
get replies if people disagree, or if you present something wo
I'm consider to becomming a debian maintainer and I have a few
packages I want to packages. My problem is that my debianbox (or linux
for that sake) isn't on the net.
At work we're using HPUXes and I would like to upload from there. dupload
depends on dpkg but I don't see why.
