I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 1.2.7-1
of my package "gtklp".
I've updated this package mainly to have it rebuild autotools stuff at
build-time now (as documented in autotools-dev,) and fix a few bugs.

Hi,
thanks very much for your encouragement, I wrote the mail to
debian-newmaint list asking for the DM application.
In the meantime I'm working to finish the steps to become a "normal"
maintainer.
I would be really happy if you confirm my application on debian-newmaint
list... :)

It would not be hard to do with git-format-patch (prepare patches for
e-mail submission) and git-am (apply a series of patches from a mailbox).
