Benoît, i receive a message from upstream telling that he can not actually
modify the source code,
he said that if i want to do that for a version i have to branch from the
current code, with his complete approval.
I'm little confused about this, may i branch software ? and host it
somewhere ?

I've prepared a NMU for yafc (version as 1.1.1.dfsg.1-4.1). I've expressed my
intend to NMU in #636703.
The upload would fix these bugs: #553874, #601758, #604190.
yafc FTBFS due to #553874 and on kFreeBSD due to #601758. #604190 makes it
unusable for uploading files.
