If I were the maintainer, I would hesitate to make such upload until

Please correct the “VCS-Git” and “VCS-Browser” fields. The value of
those fields should be for the VCS tracking the Debian packaging work.

Yes, the project is on GitHub, open to all who contribute to
improvement of the file.
