I found this package was orphaned for few years, and I also found a bug
with it.
I decided to become a new maintainer for this package and followed the
instruction here(https://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/index.html#howto-o).

If that would be files in /etc I would point you to the configuration
management by dpkg (as a removed file is a configuration change, too,
