that the
qgfe-1.0 should become a qgfe-1.1 version number? Or is it better to
call it qgfe-1.0-2 and ignore lintian warning?
It isn't an upstream source update, but the patch I got touches the sources ...
TIA

Thank Both of you for your help and good offices in getting peless
into debian!
There is one thing I'd like to mention for the next release.
Right now, it seems that peless links with many libraries
Hi Damyan, hi mentors
I've prepared a new peless package downloadable at:
http://web.ticino.com/gfwp/debian/peless-1.145/peless_1.145-1.dsc
It is linthian clean, linda complains about an empty /usr/share/locale
because the internationalization is on the road. It compiles cleanly
under pbuilder.
Hi Damyan and mentors,
just a very stupid question (sorry!) about tarball formats:
About building a debian package using uupdate (where the former source
was in tar.gz and the update in tar.bz2) I got the comment that the
md5sum of the original upstream source and of the debian source were
Hi Damyan, Paul, and mentors
Here the peless repackaged with the suggested modifications from Damyan

I hope now it should be ok
cheers

P.S. the md5sum of orig.tar.gz and peless.tar.bz2 are obviously not the
same, but
Hi Damyan and Paul
I've an updated package of peless:
http://web.ticino.com/gfwp/debian/peless-1.125/peless_1.125-3.dsc
Please take a look at! The rules still needs some tweaking for boost
(even more than in the previous 1.108), but now is OK.
cheers

Hi Damyan
I probably right now have understood what is going on...

OK, but first let me understand what I am fixing. What is wrong
with make install as it is? There is also a make install-strip.

I have packaged a nice GTK text
if there are still bugs to resolve; I tested it with
pbuilder and should be policy 10.1 compliant.

Maybe the difference is only visible opening the program with the debugger??
Sorry for this stupid question, if it is!

for the binaries will be set automatically during
package building.
Test it, with a pbuilder to see if you still produce an effective
binary, and install it on a virgin debian to see if starting the
program gives error after such a build

Hallo mentors,
I have a second version of the qgfe package that I builded after the
review of the first one as listed previously in debian-mentors.
It compiles nicely with dpkg under i386-sid and also under amd64-etch.
It is a good software in combination with gnuplot, xfig and texmacs for
