According to Applications | Desktop Preferences | Theme, I'm using the
Simple theme. Looking at the details, the Controls are Simple, the
Window Border is Simple, and the icons are gnome. Where would I find the
'gtkrc' file?

My current GTK2 theme (the Debian default, I think) has a menu item
hover coloration of blue text on a white background. OpenOffice.org (as
of the last update) seems to be getting the blue text theme selection,
but not getting the white back

The New submenu and Autopilot submenu in the File menu refuse to open.
I'll hover my mouse over these menu items, expecting a submenu to pop
up, but none pops up. The New button on the toolbar doesn't seem to
work, eithe
I believe the Gnome menu items have been moved to the package
openoffice.org-gnome. What I wonder is why openoffice.org recommends
openoffice.org-mimelnk, which seems to be integration with KDE, while it
only suggests openoffice.org-gnome, which is integration with Gnome.
