Hokay.
For the longest time, I couldn't figure out why my telnetd was refusing
all connections...the latest upgrade gave me a better error message, so
I had a better idea what was wrong.
The only way I can properly telnet into my machine is if I had
setuid-root on in.telnetd (same with screen).

ah, nevermind...I hate to follow up my own post, but I noticed the
/etc/hosts.deny file had 'PARANOID' on, and my hostname wasn't matching right.
All is good now.
Sorry :)

Hey, is there something wrong with my sshd, or is there some paranoid debian
config that I need to change to get it working?
example:
$ ssh localhost
Connection closed by foreign host.
and in the /var/log/daemon.log file:
[date] majere sshd[282]: refused connect from 127.0.0.1
but, refused...WH

Hi!
I just got the slapd up'n'running on my Debian/GNU Linux PPC box.
I don;t know if any of other Debian/PPC users have ever tried to run it but
on my machine it couldn't start rumbling something about:
daemon.log.0:Oct 12 17:30:34 plukwa slapd[9042]: ldbm_db_errcall(): ==> illegal

Hallo!
I haven't been able to compile anything for a while, and it's driving me
batty. Here's what configure returns:
/usr/bin/ld: unrecognised emulation mode: elf32ppclinux
Actually, that's from config.log, but same thing... Here are the packages I've
installed:
