By the way, for any GNOME users out there: I have Debianized the
(very cool) gpmudmon GNOME applet.

Hi,
http://hadess.net/idoru.shtml for all the info
No Fifth Toe applications available yet, old applications should work
alright, maybe a symlink here and there for the libraries.
I'll add them as I build them, after GUADEC.

Hey folks,
I am sure this question has been asked many times before, is there any
easy way to configure X for a Powerbook. I am guessing there is a master
XF86Config that has been floating around for eons. I am not bold enough to
write it by hand.
Most configs I run across on the web

Hello,
I'm afraid the problem with the pmud still exists.
Okay, I'm running 2.2.17 paulus (self-compiled)
on a powerbook 2400; dist is debian 2.2, pmud
is version 0.7-3 (the most recent).
When the PB2400 is going to snooze while the
harddisk is currently working, it won't properly

well maybe.
One has to question whether anyone would be interested in adding
this to a frame buffer driver, assuming that it isn't already
there. Perhaps you would be able to get a lot more direct info from
another list, like one dedicated more to laptops or X.

Hello,
As the subject says, I can't play MP3's anymore with XMMS. Works fine
with mpg123, and I can play Ogg vorbis with xmms.
I click on "Play file" (or I add files to the playlist), I select one or
more mp3 files, click ok, and xmms won't do anything (the files don't

Hey,
I've noticed something that I think is an XF4.0 bug, but I thought I'd
check it with y'all first.
I've had problems with this for quite some time. I'll be working in
Emacs and scrolling down a bunch of text (Control-V), and I'll pause
for a few seconds, still holding down the control key, th

I've made it to the point that my TiBook is successfully running X.
I don't know if I'm using the graphics hardware to its best advantage
(in fact I suspect not since the gnome logout fade takes about 3
seconds to grey out the screen) but it works for now. But on the
plus side I haven't had to

They all looked OK, then I noticed that CVSROOT had ownership/group of
root/root. I changed the group to cvsusers and now everything works
ok. Thanks for giving me the prod to the obvious.
