ibook2 hangs during install

Howdy; I've just been trying to boot my ibook2 using a set of 2.2r0 cds (using the 'debian video=ofonly' boot arguments) and it appears to boot fine, loads the installer; the problem is I press 'continue' following the welcome message, then it just sits and hangs at the 'Please wait while t

All I have a 7200/120 here with its standard 500 MB disk, I was able to pull a 2 GB disk out of a broken 7300/200. I just put the 2 GB disk in and plugged both disks into the cables there inside the case. NOw booting into linux (on the debian hfs image floppy and root disk) the 2 GB disk has appea

I am using benh. I have just upgraded to 2.4.8-pre7-ben0. The compilation went smoothly, and I am now giving it a go. It looks OK. The only difficulty is the trackpad; I have to say "trackpad drag" in order to use it properly. On the packages, I am afraid the problem is still there. 812 exit

Byte swapping audio in the kernel? From what I've heard, this is a no-no. I'm pretty sure Linus and Alan Cox both agree that this is purely a userspace task, and any attempt to move this into the kernel will be met with great resistence. You may have better luck making sure that the driver correct
