I am forwarding your message to the debian-powerpc mailing list as I
simply do not have time answer all of your questions. Furthermore, I
don't know the answers to some of them.

I purchased a PowerMAC 5500/225. Got it cheap, and figured I would have some
fun with MacOS. Well, after the first time that MacOS 'sang' an error to me,
I decided to consign it (the os, not the hardware!) to the dustbin, and

You can never fix 16-bit color. It is not possible to display
any shade of grey while in 16-b

Hi again all,
I know this is off topic, but I'm trying to use System Disk to sort
out my firmware as per Chris Tillman's suggestion. It doesn't run in
the classic environment under OSX. I've downloaded the boot disk image
as suggested on the netbsd page, but this page states that I need Disk

I try to install KDE on potato 2.2 r4 by putting the following
in my sources.list:
deb http://kde.tdyc.com potato main crypto
then wvdial
and then running
#apt-get update
#apt-get install task-kde
however as my modem is slow I have to download a number of times and
