Seems like the 3rd Comment in the description hints at that.

tried that, although I'm not sure

Hej,
Do anyone have any experience of using a Cube as a firewall/router?
I tried to find information on Google, but failed :-(
How about adding an extra ethernet connection to the cube? Possible?
I am very interested in using this solution, since it is very very silent,
or am I wrong?

There's really nothing specific to the Cube for this. Standard Linux
routing and iptables facilities are fine.

You can't add an internal one, but a USB one should be OK for a
typical cable or DSL modem link.
Why not use use IP over FireWire? There must be some FireWire -
Ethernet

Hi!
I was using daniels packages for xfree86 where I could use these nice
transparent and colorful mouse cursors...
However since updating to 4.3.0-0pre1v1 from debian experimental it does
no longer work...
Is anyone else experiencing this ?

Hehe, nice Idea. Though IIRC despite the RFC IP over FW is not yet
completely implemented
Not to be too dramatic, but getting my video card to
work on my PowerMac 7500 running debian is killing me.
I apologize in advance for the length of
this post.
Here are the os/hardware facts
1) OS - Debian woody
2) kernel = linux-2.4.21-ben2
3) the kernel has the atyfb and the aty128fb modules

But you could set CONFIG_IEEE1394_ETH1394 in the .config file:
Ethernet over 1394
Thanks,
Appreciate the hints and tips..
I will look into the book case solution (if I can find them here
in Tokyo.) or other solutions for a firewall and web server.
Also, perhaps finding a second hand cube for a music server?

You can also map it to other keys which you don't need.

Try to autogenerate a new XF86Config-4 via xf86config (this worked

matches specs on the ATI website. But the chip
