Hi Every so often, my USB mouse (MS-Intellimouse 2 buttons + wheel) suffurs a spurious disconnection and right after that a re-connection. The cable is fine, I think. The problem is that it comes back as another device and X doesn't follow this re-organization. Thus the mouse pointer is stuck.

Which kernel version are you using? I just switched from 2.6.1 to 2.6.2 and this started happening with my trackball. I switched back to 2.6.1 and the problem hasn't resurfaced, so I recompiled my 2.6.2 with USB debugging and will start trying to recreate the bug. Matthew Ray ---

It took me a while to figure that out, but now i finally got it. It appears that the locale command puts out a LANG variable of en_US.ISO-8859-15. I changed it to en_US, and it works. It works with all the language settings, but you have to remove the .ISO-8859-15 part. Mfg Frank Oberländer
