With the linux 2.6 input method, it's no longer a pain with X though
(using /dev/gpmdata made it okay with previous kernels too).
It works well on my PB, using F11 (my middle button equivalent) to paste
selected st

Highlight text with the mouse to put it in the copy buffer. Click the
middle mouse button to paste the current contents of the copy buffer.
For anything more sophisticated try using KDE or Gnome as these desktop
environments offer some intere
in X you just select what you want and hit the 3rd mouse button and
viola! it pastes
crtl-c, crtl-v and crtl-x also work varying from app to app.
as for on the console. well theres the mouse program that used to
be popular. it was a pain with X though. anyone remember what

with kernel 2.6.7 vanilla and pbbuttonsd 0.6.0-1 package. When the
system tries to suspend (automatically or forced by me) then I get a
(long) kernel oops and I have to reboot.
