You can boot from a Darwin CD and install it on an OldWorld system with the help of XPostFacto from Ryan Rempel at http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/XPostFacto/. Even with its help, it could may be not an easy job to install into a 7500 system (some stories at the xpostfacto forum).

I've just down a brand new install of woody on a slot-loading imac. I
installed debian on the same imac a few years ago, but a lot seems to
have changed thus invalidating the knowledge I built up.
This time everything went smoothly till X startup. X just wouldn't

yes, radeonfb runs on console and radeon on xfree86. at least it did on
