yes, i've the same problem, in particular, my iBook (PowerBook6,7)
hangs after time_init prints. Now i'm building a kernel with some
printk to detect if it hangs during console_init.

I'm seeing the same problem with 2.6.17-rc1 on my
netbooting is the correct way on those, and the only tested way.
And the CDs are supposed to boot on the RS6000?
They should, but there seems to be some issue that need investigating. I fixed
something (missing icon) recently, so the daily builds and beta2 should be
better than sarge.

i'm trying to get mol running and i keep finding mixed howto s. I'm running
the test distro of debian and am having trouble compiling the modules. Has
anyone had any luck with this ? Please point me to a good howto.
