Hello PowerPC folks, I am having a problem installing the debian-40r6-powerpc-netinst.iso on a IBM JS21 Blade. we are using the expert64 kernel during the install - it seems the 32bit stuff doesn't boot up properly. The install process goes well - but after rebooting we see the machine go

I would look through things in /var/log: dmesg syslog kernel.log debug you can access them from the installer. Or alternatively, there's a so-called single mode, you can access it by adding the word single to the command line of your boot manager. In this mode much fewer drivers are loaded, and

Hello. Status report I booted the machine with the rescue64 kernel and edited the /etc/inttab default boot to 1 (single user). The debian LPAR will now boot and the the JS21 / IVM console can communicate with the debian partition - over the IVM Serial console. Notes: -
