Can anyone point me to a resource for information on installing
Debian 4.0 XFCE on a iMac G5, and fixes involved?

I am not dual booting (OS X 10.4 is on a firewire hard drive), I go through
installation just fine using 'video=ofonly', but it re-boot to a blank dark blue screen, no command line,
nothing.

Another thing, I have the screen setting to '800 by 600, thousands' (of color) mode.

I have had Fedora Core 6 running on this system, once, it re-booted into console mode, one time only,
on re-boot, crashed.

Ubuntu 6.06 LTS doesn't install live mode at all, start the installation screen then shut down the system entirely.

Ditto with Gentoo.

Thank you for your time.

Wayde

P.S. Before the iMac, I had a white box running Libranet Linux with XFCE.
