I'm very new to debian / XFree86 and this listHi everyone. I'm trying to get debian and XFree86 to work on my Tibook. I used the media less yaboot way to install woody then after quite a bit of reading i figured out that X4.1 wouldn't work with my laptop's video card. so i upgraded to test

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 worked!! but the screen was slid about an inch to the right so i ran fbset -x and got hsync and vsync setting in and presto. I'm pretty damn impressed. so far i've only installed enlightenment and mozilla. thanks for the help... eric > On Thu, Oct 31, 2002 at 06:
