(AGP) with German USB-Keyboard.
Does anyone know where to find the Pipe-Symbol (X, console) and the @ (only
X).
BTW how/where do I change the keyboard layout?

While running showkey, if I press and hold the right shift key, and then
press and release a regular key, and then release the shift key, I get the

Okay, so an update on my X issues. The command key's keycode was
apparently changed to be the same as the windows key on PC keyboards.
This is fine, however I like it to be the Meta key. I also noticed a

Compiled the latest 2.4.19-rc1 benh kernel tree times. Booting, the
keyboard doesn't respond neither
passing keyboard_sends_linux_leycodes=1 to the kernel. I tried to remove
HID support the first time, and seeing this problem i recompiled with it

How do I fix my keyboard settings if xkeycaps is broken? I can't scroll
the window to select a keyboard. I have a PowerComputing keyboard and
whenever I press Caps-Lock in X I get an A and an a if I depress it. I
would appreciate any pointers on how to fix this.

Hi.. I'm still trying to get X to work on my ibook (the new one released
in Nov.). I rebooted (after trying to get X to work for a while) and now
the keyboard doesn't work... no response on the screen to any key
presses.. I read the keycodes problem at

I accidentally left my iBook in sleep mode while away and the battery
ran out of juice. When I booted up the machine again, the keyboard is a
bit messed up in X, but not in the console. In X, 'z' and 'y' have been
exchanged, and many of the non-alphabetic characters have been
fully use my swiss-german keyboard. I cannot use the
special caracters like: öäü or @#|~ etc. Does anyone have any idea?

powerbook not wake from sleep. So far it's 0 for 2 when in X, but I

The mac keyboard works without problems (here). I have a powerbook and
the AltGr key it's Fn + alt
With a flat imac (usb keyboard) the AltGr key is the right Alt key
It works with XFree and console and it's the default configuration.

My factory default B&W G3 spanish keyboard is not supported by the
XFree86 installer. I solve this manually loading a .Xmodmap created from
scratch. However, my XFree86 from unstable uses something called XKB, so
