The sane hpaio driver in the libsane-hpaio package causes a scanimage
(tested with scanimage -L) segmentation fault in about 20% of runs.
The scanimage output is attached.
I am not using the hpaio backend; the scanner is a Canon CanoScan

I haven't looked at it yet, no. Large parts have been re-written so
it's quite different in a lot of places
