Package: printer-driver-gutenprint Version: 5.2.10-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
When printing, using the Canon S4500 the paper size A3 is not available (cannot be selected). The printer itself is able to handle A3-paper. (german/european standard, 420*297mm) I tried the selection in "Druckeinstellungen" (printer settings) and in several applications. In debian 6 (my former distibution) A3-paper could be selected and used. In the /etc/cups/ppd/Canon-S4500.ppd of debian 8 no A3 PageSize is mentioned. I compared the .ppd to the version of debian 6, there A3-paper is specified. I tried, but I am not deep enough in .ppd-files to solve the problem by myself and write a patch. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages printer-driver-gutenprint depends on: ii cups 1.7.5-11+deb8u1 ii cups-client 1.7.5-11+deb8u1 ii cups-filters [ghostscript-cups] 1.0.61-5+deb8u2 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u1 ii libcups2 1.7.5-11+deb8u1 ii libcupsimage2 1.7.5-11+deb8u1 ii libgutenprint2 5.2.10-3 ii libusb-1.0-0 2:1.0.19-1 printer-driver-gutenprint recommends no packages.
