That's because tracker.debian.org, for some reason, asks for a

Oh well, this is a good catch and probably affects all packages that were
recently migrated to salsa.
@QA team: wouldn't it make sense to show the Vcs-*: fields from the packages'
unstable versions on package pages in st
Which would be kind of okay if those
were builds for official architectures supported by debian, but they
aren't.
So I would very much be interested by a separation between build for
official architectures and build for unofficial architectures.

When the backports version is outdated compared to the version in

It's fixed if you consider the complete removal of the "packages by gpg

As I said earlier, the RRD files are not properly configured, and
aggregation doesn't allow for quick updates of the bug numbers.

For example, take a look at the popcon page for the xulrunner source package:
http://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=xulrunner
It includes information about the most recent binary packages, from unstable,
but doesn't track the packages from stable, which
oad in the last 15 months, despite
upstream having done several releases. It is also not in testing, and
was not shipped in lenny, apparently.
This looks like a good candidate for removal.

Here's a patch for memtest that fixes an uninitialized variable bug. It also
should now work on 64-bit machines, though I don't have one to try it on.
Other minor changes include compile flags, printing pointers in hex, and
getting rid of a couple compiler warnings.

I think that there would be little sympathy in the Debian community for
treating as a bug the failure of an alternative "mail-transport-agent" to
support the precise command line syntax of Sendmail. In such cases, the
problem would really only be resolvable by the upstream author, and there
is little to be gained by forwarding something like this upstream.
Especially where, as in your example, the "-o" switches are involved, the
command line syntax of Sendmail is something of a moving target.
Whether the "cgi-scripts" package should suggest "mail-transport-agent"
seems potentially controversial to me. As we agreed, there are security
risks associated with running mail on the same system as a web server. It
is very common to do it, but I am not sure that Debain should "suggest" it
as an example of good practice. Rather, it is more in the nature of an
economic compromise.

I think we are in broad philosophical agreement about what is and is not
functionally desirable for a CGI script to do. My issue is that we are
discussing this in the context of an example program in the Debian
"cgi-scripts" package, and we have to try to make this work on the
broadest possible range of systems without incurring package dependency
penalties unless they are absolutely necessary. In particuar, if it is
not absolutely essential that an example CGI script invoke Sendmail, which
means that the "cgi-scripts" package is then in some way depenent upon the
"sendmail" package, this should be avoided.

On the whole, as examples of how to write CGI programs, it is my opinion

such as the 'nph-test-cgi' problem, some remain, such as the 'calendar'

probability of consequent bug propagation in this situation warrant a
correction to the stable tree in addition to the unstable tree.
