Package: sun-java6-plugin Version: 6-15-1 Severity: wishlist This is definitely a user error, but since it frustrated me, I thought you could mention it in the documentation (eg README.Debian). If in your iceweasel Edit/Preferences, under Content, you have "Enable Java" unchecked, the java plug-in will not show up in about:plugins even if it is available. I had it unchecked (for some reason), which made me think the sun-java6-plugin wasn't working. And it was unexpected that there was another setting that would override the availability of the plug-in. So maybe you could just suggest verifying that "Enable Java" is checked.
(If you go to Tools/Add-ons under Plugins, the Java plug-in is visible but greyed out.)
