There seems to be no need for gv. I purged gv from my system, and kdeprint
still functions.
#dpkg -L kdeprint | xargs grep gv
gives no matches. (except documentation images)

Actually, now that I've rebooted, the problem described above has
disappeared and I can no longer duplicate it. Perhaps it was a glitch in
the initial execution of the new korganizer?
I suppose if no one else comments on this bug, we can close it. It was
unusual behavior to say the list,

I spoke too soon. After an hour of using korganizer, the problem
resumed--every time I hit PgUp/PgDown (or several other keys), a new
appointment window reappears. So it would seem the problem arises over
time or as the result of some other program. Let me know if there's

I think that the kate package should suggest or recommend konsole.
Konsole is needed if you want to use the builtin konsole in kate
(if you don't it runs fine without).
Had quite a hard time finding out that kate did require konsole.

krdc doesn't work with rdesktop 1.3.1. Yes this is problem but you can
workaroud it by calling rdesktop directly.
Now krdc conflict with rdesktop 1.3.1 and there is no rdesktop 1.3.2
(see http://www.rdesktop.org - 1.3.1 is latest stable version) so you can't
workaroud it by calling rdesktop

yes, most likely because they are marked as auto-installed (think of
libraries). you'll have to mark all kdegraphics packages you
