This is my first attempt at using Quanta.
If I open the Open File dialog with Ctrl-O, no files or directories
are displayed in the file list. The filter drop down contains All
supported files and five instances of mime.

hi to the list,
i have this problem for long time now and every time i try to solve
that, i just dont come around, so i ve decide to ask here.
running ./configure on mostly appis i get following error:

problem solved,
i dont understand why, but exporting the QTDIR only was affective for root.
as i tried to run configure as root, it worked and the path was founded.

Clicking the Help button in Storage Media has no effect, except that
kcmshell media; outputs khelpcenter: WARNING: Main template file name is
empty..
Note that actually, when run in kcmshell, selecting the Help button does
