Setting new icon size via:
System settings -- Appearance -- Icons -- Advanced
Does not apply the new icon size to existing icons on desktop ( but new ones
are created properly )

Qt 4 appears to incorrectly report font metrics, or at least, the behavior
deviates from that of Qt 3.3 which I believe it was intended to emulate.
In particular, a miscalculation of the size of a font's descent results
At least kicker and quite likely other KDE apps (konqueror) completely
ignore Contex, Size and actual icon theme when reading icons. Stracing
kicker shows it stat-ing all over the place.
