Moreinfo? You should be kidding. I filed this bug in 2013, more than one year
ago.
I decided not to continue using Kmail in those conditions. Just letting bug
reports rot is not the best way to close them, but it seems to work.

It also happens to me, but I have detected that it happens not only when
hitting SEND but also when saving a message, either by hand or by timed save.

Finally I've been able to attach gdb to the kio_imap4 process. Strangely, it
does not crash within gdb but crash without gdb (several times tried).

When downloading the new messages list from the main, upper folder of an IMAP
account, or when trying to Check Mail, kmail does not show any new message
and fires an error:

solution using kiosk mode.
I will try to make a Debian package (or several) for this data and set up the
appropiate kiosk configuration.
