It currently has Debian flavor installed. The operating system runs great. The problem is with the supporting cast. The apt-get utility is used to upgrade the operating system software and supporting software.=20 I have tried to upgrade to the latest version of Debian. The apt-get software goes through the process of downloading all of the necessary pieces and then it attempts to unpack them. It gets an errors attempt to overwrite /usr/share/mcop/*_ADD.mcoplus. (Don't quote me exactly on this name, but it is something to the effect. If I was near the machine, which I am not, I could confirm the exact name). I can see this file in the directory. I am able to rename it (fake delete); apt-get still gets the same error when it attempts to run. The message further indicates error with dpkg error. In addition, I have been trying to upgrade the CUPS system to a higher level, but I get the same errors above. I have tried to upgrade the wine package, but it indicates wine depends on libarts. I get the same error above when I try to fix the libarts package. =20 I have tried apt-get -f install <pkg> for each of the above, with the exception of operating system which uses apt-get upgrade. Each time I get the same error. Please help.
