I really dont want to be such a nag, but ... is there actually someone going
to fix this? There where several new KDE versions in testing since I reported
the bug but it is still not fixed. I am not a hardcore KDE developer, so I
cant fix it myself. I am just a poor user wasting his time

What errors do you get? Do you try to unmount it while the removable media
is still open in konqueror? If so, try closing konqueror first and then
unmounting it.
