Looks like this error message is irrelevant. The true reason is that I'm
sitting behind the firewall and outgoing port 443 is blocked. Opening it
has solved the problem.
So the real problem is that kopete doesn't use proxy in this case for
some reason.

I've run strings looking for the reference to the unfound functions.
Take a look:
