Hello,
It seems to me that the 7-zip kio-slave is not available in Debian.
However, the file /usr/share/mimelnk/application/x-7z.desktop defines
the protocol p7zip:/ in konqueror. This leads to the following problem:
After adding 'Ark' to the "Application Preference Order" for *.7z files,
and 'Archiver (ark_part)' in the "Services Preference Order" I able to
open 7z files in konqueror both externally and embedded. However, when
choosing "Show file in embedded viewer", I expected the 'ark_part' to be
used to display the archive contents inside konqueror when double-clicking.
However, I get the error message:
Malformed URL
p7zip:/home/tmac/archive.7z
So what I am trying to ask is if the p7zip:/ protocol should be defined
in /usr/share/mimelnk/application/x-7z.desktop when the necessary kio_slave
isn't available in Debian?

This bug is no longer reproducible. When setting the mode to "embedded" and
clicking a 7z-file in konqueror, it still opens the file using ark as there is
no 7-zip kioslave. Adding ark_part will open the file in ark embedded in
konqueror.
