Package: kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 Version: 4:4.1.0-2 Severity: normal As far as I understand, lenny kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 package is supposed to be compatible with lenny's KDE3 desktop.
However, /usr/bin/kstart from kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 misbehaves. I like to run 'xload' embedded into KDE's panel. To start it, I use the follwoing command: kstart --windowclass XLoad --tosystray /usr/X11R6/bin/xload -bg black -fg green -hl red -update 1 -nolabel This used to work until I installed okular package (from lenny), which pulled kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 by dependences. Now the above does not work as expected. Instead, it causes bad misconfiguration of running session - all windows are moved to the current virtual desktop, panel no longer exists on desktop other than current. Also kstart process does not terminate, and xload is started as a normal window. Restoring kdebase-bin-kde3 makes start working again. But removes okular... -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (620, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable'), (550, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 depends on: ii kdebase-runtime 4:4.1.0-2 runtime components from the offici ii kdelibs5 4:4.1.0-3 core libraries for all KDE 4 appli ii libc6 2.7-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libqt4-dbus 4.4.3-1 Qt 4 D-Bus module ii libqtcore4 4.4.3-1 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4.4.3-1 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library Versions of packages kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 recommends: ii hal 0.5.11-8 Hardware Abstraction Layer ii pmount 0.9.18-2 mount removable devices as normal kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
