--- Begin Message ---Hi! I'm closing this bug because, as Qt and Qt creator maintainer, I don't think it's one. We deliberately do not add gcc as dependency, only as a suggestion. As Adam stated, one could use any other c++ compiler. On the other hand, Qt kit detection should know not depend on a c++ being available but on qmake/qtchooser.
