The issue is still present although the icons and desktop file seems to be
correct. Any ideas?--

Not sure what exactly causes the issue. Maybe a "Path=/usr/lib/freecad" in the
desktop file?

The FreeCAD package cannot be found and/or installed using GNOME Software
because the icon file (that is required by AppStream to generate correct
metadata) contained in the package is in a bad format (xpm instead of png or
svg).
