I tried the plain 2.0.36 sources today on my alpha---and i got a similar compile
error
that others on the mailing list have found beforem me. The alpha-patch for
2.0.35 worked.

My teacher is asking me for help him install Linux at two Sun that he is
buying. I didn't know yet if is 32 or 64 bits (Ultras or not). Browsing the
Debian sites, I noted that the Sparc distribution is ahead Ultra. Am I wrong?
