I've just uploaded new release of boot disks to erlangen.
Hope it will reach master rather soon...

- 2.0.35 kernel
- 2.0.100 libc (Debian/SPARC snapshot 11/27/98)

Per a suggestion from the list (and this is on a 1.6 prom), I removed
the cg3 card from the box, installed using the bw2, installed the
2.0.35 kernel deb, re-installed the cg3, and it now works - I suspect
it was a problem with the the kernel on the rescue disk, and a newer
version of the rescue di
I tried to compile Samba 2.0.0beta1 the other day and ran into a little
problem. Compilation failed in printing/printing.c with an error as
follows...

Same here, however, I have 2 of these boxes. One is 1.3, the other is
2.9 (from memory...[1]). The 1.3 box suffers the same fate, the 2.9 one
works perfectly. I am wondering what the situation is re copying the
PROM and giving someone a binary image to burn into a new one. I have a
binary image
I have a few UltraSparc1 Creators and a few
Sparc5's & 20's here at work. I am familar with i386 but would like to fire
up some of these machines. I've see the distribution sites, but does anyone have
a CDROM distribution or would be willing to burn/sell me one? If so lemme know.

'df' shows no mounted floppy. so i take it that all of you have an 'fd0'
?? i was starting to think that because it was a sun, it had a different
name for the floppy device... :)
