FYI, the latest MAKEDEV package is broken in its handling of the fb. It appears the case stament expects an arg of 'fb', while the creation routing expects 'fb0'. This results in a failed expression evaluation and the misguided beliefe tha the value 'root' is the minor number of the fb device.
