thanks, but then have you an idea, why anXious or X at all doesn't work?
it says different things, like "couldn't open Xsun" or "Xsun24" etc. i don't
have a detailed X-output here

I'm new to Debian (I'm primarily a Solaris person), and I'm wondering what
sort of support exists in the Debian/Sparc port for Sun's Javastations?
I know that Redhat can support them, but I prefer to use Debian because of
it's totally-opensource nature. 8-) To date, however, all my

I did further investigation in the E250 server crash problem. I tried
to report here sometimes but got now real help on the topic - so I tried
again.
Short summary:
I observe randomly crashes of the E250 box.
After a crash serial console seems to be dead.
