I cannot believe that I have to reinstall all, destroying the
partitions that I already have! I have a lot of data there and it is
quite impossible to backup it on other support!

bug, so I would like to upgrade my kernel.

after installing it I have a symlink /vmlinuz -> boot/vmlinuz-2.4.7
But my machine wont reboot.
