I am not sure if kernel will see the FC-AL internal disks during
installation. I know Suse did not support that...
If that is the case for debian as well, you may have to use an external
unipack or similar SCSI device.

Hello,
Is there anybody running Debian on a Sun E3500
I have one not running anything important for a while (not too long) and
was going to try Debian Woody on it, if possible...
Thanks for any information,
Loren

I think your approach is reasonble.
There are many SS20 and similar users out there waiting for a 2.4.X
easy-to-find-and-install package.

After beating on the linux-2.4.19-preX for sparc32 SMP for a while,
I get the feeling that 2.4.19-pre10 is pretty ok. Furthermore,
the sparc32 cleanup being e-mailed to the sparclinux list seems to
further improve quality of the kernel on sparc32 systems.
I'd like to see an unofficial 2.4.x kernel

It seems, as Ben Collins pointed out to me, that kernel and modules are
not the same version !!!
It's possible... I don't test it... All my needs were in the kernel (not
modules) and after installation I have built my own kernel... I don't
test modules from the d
