I'll clarify what I can here.
Regarding Ubuntu, if you do not compile SILO with GCC 2.95 it will not
boot right on SPARCs because later compilers mistakenly generate
floating point CPU instructions not available during boot time. That's
probably what they did wrong.
My kernel config file should g
Hi Matt,
I am reading about your Ultra 10 problem and must admit that I find it
surprising, as my Ultra 10 worked right in 2.4.xx and 2.6.xx, all the
way up to 2.6.10
The problem I'm having is I can't get the Sarge netinst CD to boot.
I can't remember off the top of my head what kernel image they'r

Hi, everybody!
Hello.
I need some help to get my Ultra2 (running Sarge) play music instead of
only making high-frequency noise...
I spent a couple of hours trying to install audio on my ultra5 last week.
I gave up using xmms and clones for the reasons you mentionned.

The 20050218 sid netinst cd is missing many sparc64 modules, including
isofs.

Good day, sir.
I am reading about your Ultra 10 problem and must admit that I find it
surprising, as my Ultra 10 worked right in 2.4.xx and 2.6.xx, all the
way up to 2.6.10, which I cannot get to build for some reason. I have
not been complaining about this because my C build failure intuition
